WORRY FREE REAL waterfront, Whitewater village is built on Presquile Point, located on Rocher-Fendu Lake or as Ottawa Power Generation calls it, the Cheneaux Forebay. That is extremely significant because it means that Presquile Point and Whitewater village is on the only body of water from Mattawa to Montreal that CAN’T, WON’T flood. Not only is there no flooding, there is no low water and the water is controlled within a very small elevation range.
Although it’s called a lake, it’s actually a river with an imperceptible current which means ALMOST NO BUGS except for a very, very brief black fly season in May. The property is primarily sand with perfect drainage and no pools even in the rain for mosquitos to breed.
RECREATIONPresquile Point is just downstream of the National Whitewater Park, home to Canada’s best rafting and kayaking and thousands of acres of trails.
